PDX to Ruth's Chris Portland via Max rail?

Would it be convenient to ride the Max from PDX Airport to get a steak in town?

Is there a stop near 309 SW 3rd, or is there a walk?

Approximately how long would it take one-way?PDX to Ruth's Chris Portland via Max rail?
The Red line of Max will take you from the airport (South end of the baggage pickup level) to the closest stop which is SW 1st and Oak street. From there it is about a two block walk to SW 3rd and Oak street which is where Ruth's Chris is at.

The trip will take about 40-45 minutes total even during rush hour plus 5 minutes walking give or take how fast you walk. It is an easy trip, you don't have to transfer trains, just be alert for your stop when in downtown. (it will be announced as "First and Oak" and there will be reader boards on the train indicating what stop you are at. )

The fare each way, per adult is $2.30 which you must purchase before getting on the train. There are fare machines at every stop and they take cash, coin and credit cards.

If this is the only trip you will be taking -you want to purchase an "adult all zones fare," right before boarding.

If you will be taking the Max several times over a 2 hour period, you may find it better to purchase a 1 day pass, which is $4.75 per adult. The all day pass may be purchased at the same fare machines.

If you will be in town longer and taking Max often - 7 and 14 day passes are available.

Edited to add: When you return, go back to the same stop - but make sure you get on a RED line train which goes to airport, and not a Blue line train to Gresham. IF you do get on a Blue line- you need to transfer to a RED line train at the Gateway transit center or you won't be going back to the airport.PDX to Ruth's Chris Portland via Max rail?
I would actually recommend ring side, which you can also take the max to pge park and it's about 4 short blocks.

Ruth Chris is awesome, but you can get that in most major cities, Ring Side is portland only. and their bone in NY and onion rings are to die for.
