An e-mail that is circulating in the Metro has cost the general manager of Ruth's Chris Steak House in Ridgeland, MS his job. The e-mail chain begins with LaTrenda Watson's request for a birthday party reservation the restaurant. Watson, who is an African American, sent that request to the sales manager in December, according to the series of e-mails. The sales manager then sent the request to the general manager who, according to the e-mail chain wrote:



"Another ghetto Sat. Party. They really love us don't they. Especially on Sat. Call her and get her on the books if we have room for Sat. And I will take care of the rest."



The general manager has been fired according to a statement the restaurant management released.Do you think the general manager should have been fired because of an email? Why or why not?
Yes. There is nothing proper about this email. I would think a little respect for paying customers would be in order. They did the right thing.

Well to save the imagine of the restaurant they didn't want to keep him around, also that is not setting a good example from someone who is a manager and professionalism is important.
